Turning insert features tough submicron grain size substrate with a PVD coating, recommended for general use for diverse operations on materials such as steel, alloy steel, austenitic stainless steel and high temperature alloys at a wide range of cutting speeds. Features high wear resistance and chipping durability. Positive rake angle that varies along the edge to negative in order to prevent chipping. Special design reduces cratering. Used for carbon and alloy steel, stainless steel and high temp. alloys.
