Supporting talent through apprenticeships schemes

Providing apprenticeships not only helps those enrolled in the schemes develop the necessary skills and knowledge for their career growth, but it also benefits businesses to build a talented workforce with future-ready skills. This is why we have become a member of the 5% club; a program that supports us to develop our associates through 'earn and learn' schemes such as apprenticeships.

Our goal, when we joined the scheme, was to have 5% of our workforce enrolled in a scheme, including apprenticeships, sponsored students, and graduates on training schemes. In 2021 we achieved our goal with 12 individuals signing up for Sales apprenticeships, and 22 associates and leaders joining our first Leadership Apprenticeships; making up almost 10% of our total workforce. As of February 2022, we welcomed nine more associates to our Level 4 Transformational Leadership programme. We continue to achieve this goal today.
